Today we arrive in Roma (that's Italian for Rome). It took 32 hours to fly here and I still have a sore butt!.  First we had to fly to Hong Kong, then we flew on to Italy. Hong Kong airport is so big (nearly 2.8km long), so we had to catch a train to get to the gate for our connecting flight.

When we arrived at Rome airport, we went into the car park to get our ride into the city. The car park was full of Mercedes and Fiats. It was not like the car park at Wellington airport!

We went to see the Trevi Fountain. It is 250 years old and made out of marble. Even the bits that look like fabric (aka their togas) are made of marble. Next we went and got gelato from the best gelato place in Rome.  Of course I will have to try some more gelato to be sure it really is the best!  Then we had pizza for lunch.

My travelers tips for the day:  Don't fly non-stop for 32 hours, unless you want a sore butt and back, or you are in a real hurry.  And my second tip - you don't need to go to flash places to get nice food :).
