Today it was 29 degrees. I went on a Segway in Pincio Park. It was easier than I thought it would be, Usually you have to be least 50kg to be allowed to go on one, but the guy let me have a try and he said I would be fine. We also went to a 2000 year old roman fort called Castel San Angelo. It was built by Hadrian to be buried in - I don't know if he actually was buried there. Lots of other people added bits on after Hadrian built it so it is huge. The fort had good protection - aka rocks that you could drop on people, and canons and mortars and a catapult!
I went to a place called Bread-In for lunch - which is a must. I had a panino with turkey, mozarella, rocket, tomatoes and tuna sauce - YUM!
travelers tip : Use a segway! If your feet are tired from walking (which is absolute torture on a hot day) it is a great way to get around.

Hi Adam, what a great start to your holiday. The sculptures at Trevi fountain sound very cool, I;m sure you will see more of them over the coming weeks too. I enjoy the travel tips, and that mix of ingredients in that panino...yusss.
